Malaysian Bungalow

Concept

To allow the home to feel like a true Malaysian Bungalow, the remodel of the interior with consist of earth tones and textures throughout the space. Including an indoor courtyard filled with different local arrangements of plants will create a focal point when you first walk into the home. Incorporating the stairwell to go directly through the courtyard leading to the next level will create an engaging aspect with nature. Biophilic Design will be used through all design decisions for the Malaysian Bungalow.

Studio I - Fall 2019

Harbor Point

Concept

By removing current partitions and relocating the kitchen will create a more open floor plan and allow better traffic and lighting flow to the overall main areas like the kitchen and living room. Having the main living and kitchen areas presented in front of the windows allows the use of the view to be presented by his guests for maximum pleasure while hosting events. Incorporating the contrasts of dark masculine colors while also adding natural woods and stones gives the perception of urban, but also modern architectural style which is what the client is trying to achieve.
